The 21st Century Skills Initiative is new for the 2007-2008 school year. The development of this new initiative is in direct response to DEFs investment in bringing Dr. Bill Daggett, Founder and President of the National Center for Leadership in Education, to our community twice during the 2006-2007 school year.
The goal of our 21st Century Skills Initiative is to help our local schools implement best practices to better prepare students to meet the global, technological, and socio-economic demands of the 21st Century.
DEF, business leaders, school officials and teachers are eager to act upon the advice of national education reform leaders and invest more resources of time, talent and money into positive change that will help better prepare local students for the demands of the 21st Century.
