Building Engaged Schools
The goal of Building Engaged Schools is that every student will graduate from high school knowing their talents and how they plan to use them in their next step of life. They will have hope, excitement, confidence and motivation to pursue their chosen path.
The mission of the BES volunteer initiative is to help students:
Discover their innate talents by utilizing the CliftonStrengths Assessment;
Learn how to apply and further develop their talents, in academics, and individual and group extracurricular activities, throughout the remainder of their high-school career through self-reflection, group exercises, and limited strengths-based coaching with independent Gallup-certified Strengths Coaches; and
Explore potential career paths, aligned with their talents, using a variety of methods, including talent-based career research, informational interviewing, job shadowing and mentoring.
